  1. Prepare only the quantities in the ingredient list. Wash vegetables if included; cut potatoes and carrots into 1 cm cubes and other vegetables evenly. Separate raw-food utensils from cooked food. Rice or pasta, protein and vegetables can cook in parallel in separate pans to save time.
  2. Put Potatoes, Onion in a wide pan with 120 ml water. Cover and gently cook for 12–20 minutes, stirring, until tender. Add a little water as needed to prevent sticking.
  3. Cut chicken breast into 2 cm pieces. Put in a separate pan with 80 ml water. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for about 12–18 minutes, turning. Continue until the largest piece reaches 165°F / 74°C on a food thermometer; time alone is not a doneness check.
  4. Combine the cooked components on serving plates. Divide into the stated number of portions and serve hot; portions are approximate and based on available quantities.
