Information we use

We use your account identifier and email for sign-in and to store cooking preferences, pantry ingredients, saved plans and grocery lists. Session records and verification attempts help prevent abuse. Allergy preferences are optional.

How we use it

We use your data to deliver and save plans, calculate quantities, manage subscriptions and protect the service against abuse. The planner selects from a recipe catalog using your constraints; it does not send your preferences to an external AI model.

Payments and service providers

Render hosts the application and stores account data. Resend delivers sign-in codes when email access is enabled. Stripe processes payment details directly when subscriptions are enabled. We store customer and subscription identifiers, status, period dates and checkout attempts to prevent duplicate charges, but no card numbers. Providers may process data outside your country under their terms.

Sharing

Plans belong to your account. Creating a share link allows anyone with it to view meals, quantities and groceries for 30 days. The shared response does not include email or allergy fields, though food choices may reveal preferences. You can revoke a link or delete the plan.

Browser storage

A cookie stores your language preference for one year. A plan draft may be kept in browser session storage during sign-in and removed when restored. Saved plans live in your account database. The sign-in provider may use cookies required for authentication.

Retention and deletion

Account data is retained while your account exists. Download your data or delete the account from Account after any current subscription ends and pending payments are resolved. Plans, preferences and share links are removed from the application database. A limited technical billing event log is kept, with records older than 90 days removed when new billing events are processed; payment and hosting providers may retain records or backups under their policies.

Use and contact

Sofra is intended for adults and does not request children's data. We do not sell your data or add advertising trackers. Use the contact information below for correction requests or questions when the service opens.

Smart cooking assistant

The assistant is optional. It stores explicitly selected taste preferences and cooking records with quantities after confirmation. Clear assistant preferences, export these data, or remove them by deleting your account. The browser may keep a pending deduction until it is retried. Request text is not stored on Sofra servers. Your browser’s speech service may process audio when you enable it.

If you submit recipe feedback, it is saved in your account and visible to Sofra’s administrators to improve the service. You can edit or delete it; it is included in account export and deletion. Aggregate usage measures use confirmed cooking records without additional advertising trackers.
